Bridal and Wedding Make Up Artist

Hello! I’m Lowri, rhymes with ‘flowery’, if you’re still struggling to pronounce my name (I totally understand) then you can call me ‘L’ like the letter!

I’ve been a makeup artist for 8 years. From a really young age I was drawn to makeup. My earliest memory would be when I would start ‘borrowing’ my mum’s lipsticks, but I wouldn’t return them, oops! When I hit 13 I was in what I like to call ‘my makeup loving prime’, I would wake up 2 hours before I had to leave for the bus to school and spend this time perfecting my makeup while I watched Jaclyn Hill’s latest makeup tutorial on YouTube!

I thrived in the creative subjects in school; art was my favourite. During the nonsensical chatter in art classes, I discovered that makeup was something that could be studied in college, so that’s exactly what I did.

I studied my Level 3 in Media Makeup, followed by my Level 3 in Art and Design at college, then I studied all things makeup for 3 years as I got my BA (Hons) Degree in Media Makeup.

After graduating, we were in the middle of COVID, I really thought to myself: “this is it, I’ve studied for 5 years for nothing”. As I couldn’t continue providing my makeup service to my lovely clients, I focused my time on being creative, posting a lot of my looks to Instagram and (very) slowly built an engaged following.

Fun Fact: I made it to the Top 12 of BBC’s ‘Glow Up’ for Season 3, I didn’t make the show, but it was an experience to say the least!

I love every aspect of my job (if I can even call it that!) From working as the lead makeup artist on commercial and photographic shoots, to working backstage within a team of other makeup artists for Fashion Weeks, to making my clients feel beautiful and empowered for special occasions and on their wedding day!

I look forward to working with you!
